( CCIT ) Changzhou College of Information Technology is the first higher vocational information college in Jiangsu Province. It is a full time public college, affiliated to Jiangsu Information Industry Bureau. It is located in Changzhou College Town with an area of 1036 mu ( about 173 acres ). In November of 2003, the college became one of the first 35 national model software colleges. With a history of more than 40 years, CCIT has 11000 students and over 600 faculty, including 8 professors and nearly 150 associate professors. It has 109 laboratories of different kinds and 17 experimental centers, such as Mould Process; Automatic Control; Information Management; Computer Network; Communication Technology and Software Development, etc. It has 12 teaching units, 2 schools and 8 departments. Among them are School of Software; City School; Department of Computer Science and Technology; Department of Information Management; Department of Electronic Engineering; Department of Automatic Control Engineering; Department of Foreign Languages; Department of Art Design; Department of P.E., etc.. The college has long been known as “ A Key Human Resource Training Base on Information Industry in Jiangsu Province”. The graduates of the college have enjoyed very high reputation both in and outside Jiangsu Province for their hard working spirit, high professional level and strong abilities in practice. For many years, the graduates have been eagerly needed by companies and enterprises. The average employment rate is over 98%. During the past three years , it has been chosen as the advanced collectivity of employment in jiangsu Province. And It successfully passed the level assessment and achieved the outstanding achievements of talent training in higher vocational college by Ministry of Education in December of 2004.
