GUT has a large teaching staff whose excellent academic performance and unique disciplines give the students the quality education they have come to expect. There are over 1000 full time teaching staff members, in which 450 hold senior technical job titles, 120 hold professorship titles and 19 professors who have been invited as Doctoral student supervisors by some key universities. There is 1 national-level teaching team, 3 outstanding provincial teaching teams, 4 national -level outstanding teachers,4 committee members in the National Professional Teaching Steering Committee. 5 outstanding teachers sponsored by the Ministry of Education, 12 professors enjoy State Council Expert Special Allowance, 3 teachers won the title of Distinguished Lecturer, 9 staff were awarded the most outstanding science researchers, 13 staff are now selected as candidates in the "Talented Staff Education Construction Project".
